Flex where you need it. Strength where it counts.
A rigid float arm is fine – right up until it isn’t. Mount your valve high above the shut-off level, work in a deep tank, or run stock that treat a trough like a scratching post, and a solid arm becomes the weak link. It bends. It goes out of adjustment. Eventually it fatigues and snaps, and you’re back out there with a spanner instead of getting on with the day.
The Cocky Valve Float Chain Kit takes that failure point off the table. The chain pulls straight down on the valve with nothing to bend and nothing to knock out of alignment. Bump it, swing it, let the float ride the water level – the geometry stays true. It also fits where an arm simply won’t: tall tanks, tight lids, and set-ups where the valve and the water line are a long way apart.
Every component is 316 stainless steel – the marine grade, with added molybdenum for genuine resistance to chlorides. That’s the difference that matters when you’re running bore water heavy with salts and minerals, sitting near the coast, or dosing a trough with chemicals. Lesser stainless pits and streaks in those conditions. 316 keeps working.
Fitting is straightforward: the M10 nipple threads directly into your Cocky Valve float valve. No fabrication, no adapters, no fuss. Choose 300mm where the valve sits close to the working water level, or 600mm where it’s mounted well above it.
Like everything we make, it’s covered by the Cocky Valve lifetime guarantee. Buy it once.
Key features
- 316 marine-grade stainless throughout: built for bore water, coastal air, and chemically treated supply.

- Fits where arms won’t: deep tanks, high-mounted valves, and confined openings.
- Direct M10 fitment: threads straight into your Cocky Valve float valve.
- Two lengths: 300mm and 600mm to suit your mounting height.

Choosing your length
| Length | Best suited to |
|---|---|
| 300mm | Troughs and shallower tanks where the valve is mounted reasonably close to the shut-off level. |
| 600mm | Deeper tanks and high-mounted valves where the float needs to sit well below the valve body. |
