The Philmac PUSH Metric Male End Connector is the fitting installers reach for when metric PE pipe has to connect to a pump, valve, water meter assembly or any female-threaded fitting. One end is a tool-free Philmac PUSH connection for PE pipe; the other is a tapered male BSP thread conforming to ISO 7.1.

Push the square-cut pipe to the internal stop and the PE side is done – no chamfer, no lubricant, no tightening. With 16 combinations from 20mm x ½” to 63mm x 2″, it is the most extensive size offering in the Philmac PUSH range, covering water services, pump connections and filtration systems across plumbing, irrigation, rural and civil applications.

The connector shares the range’s UV-stabilised black polypropylene body, acetal collet and grip ring, EPDM seal, WaterMark certification, up-to-PN16 pressure rating and drinking-water approval to AS/NZS 4020. It is Australian Made, and the PE end can be disassembled and reassembled for adjustment or reuse.

Application notice

Philmac PUSH fittings are designed for connecting metric pressure polyethylene pipe. They are not suitable for compressed air applications, or for positive displacement pumps where the line pressure drops to zero between cycles. For those applications Philmac recommends Philmac EasyLOK fittings.

What does the male end connector connect PE pipe to? Anything with a female BSP thread – pumps, valves, filters and threaded fittings – in sizes from ½” to 2″.

Can I use it on a pump? Yes, Philmac lists pumps as a typical application. Note that Philmac PUSH is not suitable for positive displacement pumps where line pressure drops to zero between cycles – Philmac recommends EasyLOK fittings for those installations.

What thread standard does it use? The male thread is tapered and conforms to ISO 7.1 – pipe threads where pressure-tight joints are made on the threads.

Which sizes should I stock or order first? Philmac’s dealer stocking guide recommends 20 x ¾”, 25 x ¾”, 25 x 1″ and 32 x 1″ as starter sizes, with 40, 50 and 63mm for rural and civil work.

Is the PE end reusable? Yes. Loosen the nut, remove the pipe and reassemble the components in sequence for reuse.
