PHILMAC PUSH METRIC FEMALE TEE PE x PE x FI BSP
Add a threaded BSP take-off to PE pipe – tool-free. Push. Done.
The Philmac PUSH Metric Female Tee gives you two tool-free push-fit connections for the metric PE run and a female BSP threaded branch for connecting a male-threaded component – a riser, valve or threaded fitting – straight off the line. It puts a threaded take-off anywhere along a PE pipeline without cutting in a separate tee and adaptor.
The PE ends install the Philmac PUSH way: cut square, push to the internal stop, feel the pipe seat. The female BSP branch conforms to ISO 7.1 (pipe threads where pressure-tight joints are made on the threads), in ½”, ¾”, 1″ and 1¼” sizes matched to 20, 25 and 32mm PE.
Female threaded tees sit in the recommended Philmac PUSH tee range for irrigation, water distribution and reticulation, and suit plumbing water services and rural lines equally well. The fitting is WaterMark certified, pressure rated up to PN16, conforms to AS/NZS 4020 for drinking water and is Australian Made. Both PE outlets can be disassembled and reassembled for alignment or reuse.
Head-loss constants for the PUSH tee apply: F = 12 straight-through and F = 60 through the branch (L = F × D).
Sizes 32mm and above have a stainless steel reinforcement collar on the female BSP thread for added strength.
Key features & benefits
- Threaded take-off on a PE run – female BSP branch, ½” to 1¼”, for male-threaded valves, risers and fittings.
- Two tool-free PE connections – no tightening, no chamfer, no lubricant.
- ISO 7.1 thread for pressure-tight threaded joints.
- Positive stop feedback on both PE outlets.
- Reverse-taper collet and grip ring lock the pipe; EPDM O-ring seals it.
- Disassemble and reassemble the PE outlets to adjust or reuse.
- UV-stabilised black polypropylene body – exposed or buried.
- Certified – WaterMark, AS/NZS 4129, AS/NZS 4020, lead-free to NCC Volume 3, Australian Made.
Applications
- Threaded take-offs for valves and risers along irrigation mains and laterals
- Water distribution and reticulation branch points
- Plumbing water services requiring a threaded connection mid-run
- Rural water lines feeding threaded equipment
- Civil and utility pipelines
Application notice
Philmac PUSH fittings are designed for connecting metric pressure polyethylene pipe. They are not suitable for compressed air applications, or for positive displacement pumps where the line pressure drops to zero between cycles. For those applications Philmac recommends Philmac EasyLOK fittings.
FAQs
What connects to the female BSP branch? Any male BSP threaded component – a riser, valve or threaded fitting – in the matching thread size (½”, ¾”, 1″ or 1¼”).
Are the PE ends still tool-free? Yes. Both PE outlets are standard Philmac PUSH connections: cut square, push to the stop, no tightening.
What thread standard does the branch use? Threads conform to ISO 7.1 – pipe threads where pressure-tight joints are made on the threads.
Can I disassemble the PE outlets later? Yes. Loosen the nut on either PE outlet, remove the pipe and reassemble the components in sequence for reuse.
What head loss should I allow? Use L = F × D with F = 12 for straight-through flow and F = 60 for flow through the branch, where D is the pipe inner diameter in metres.
