The Jobe Vortex Float Valve is designed for applications where maximum flow and fast refill rates are critical. Built as a pilot-operated diaphragm valve, the float controls a small pilot valve which then activates the main valve, allowing high flow capacity while maintaining smooth and controlled shut-off.
The Vortex is a maximum-flow solution for demanding water systems. It is well-suited to large water storage tanks, cooling towers, irrigation systems and high-demand trough applications where maintaining water levels quickly and efficiently is essential.
This product is available in 40mm (1 1/2″) and 50mm (2″) inlet sizes. Across these sizes, the valve operates within a pressure range of 0.3 to 7 bar (5 to 100 psi) and can handle temperatures up to 60°C, making it suitable for a wide range of agricultural, commercial and industrial water systems.
The Vortex is constructed from corrosion-resistant materials, including glass-filled nylon, stainless steel components and durable internal elastomers. Its compact yet heavy-duty design allows for horizontal or vertical installation, with adjustable float positioning to suit different tank configurations.
A key feature of the Vortex is its slow-closing mechanism, which helps minimise water hammer even at high flow rates. The valve body can also be unscrewed from the tail for easier maintenance and access to internal components, making it a practical choice for larger systems where reliability and serviceability are important.
