The Philmac PUSH Metric Reducing Tee takes a smaller PE branch off a larger run in a single fitting – 20mm off a 25mm line, or 25mm off a 32mm line – with all three connections made by pushing pipe to the stop. There is no separate reducer to fit, no tightening and no pipe preparation.
It is the natural choice where a sub-main feeds a smaller lateral: irrigation zones, reticulation grids, garden and turf systems, and water services that split to a smaller supply. The two run outlets and the reduced branch all use the same Philmac PUSH mechanism – acetal split collet and grip ring for axial end-load resistance, EPDM O-ring for the seal, and an internal end stop that tells you the pipe is home.
Like the rest of the range, the reducing tee is moulded in UV-stabilised black polypropylene, WaterMark certified, pressure rated up to PN16, drinking-water approved and Australian Made. Each outlet can be disassembled and reassembled without damaging components, so the tee can be repositioned or reused.
Philmac’s published head-loss constants for the PUSH tee apply: F = 12 for straight-through flow and F = 60 for the side branch (L = F × D).

Application notice
Philmac PUSH fittings are designed for connecting metric pressure polyethylene pipe. They are not suitable for compressed air applications, or for positive displacement pumps where the line pressure drops to zero between cycles. For those applications Philmac recommends Philmac EasyLOK fittings.
FAQs
Which reducing combinations are available? 25 x 25 x 20mm and 32 x 32 x 25mm – the two run outlets match the main pipe and the branch is one size smaller.
Does the smaller branch install differently? No. It is a standard Philmac PUSH connection sized for the smaller pipe: cut square, push to the internal stop, feel it seat.
Can I get a threaded branch instead? Yes – see the Philmac PUSH Metric Female Tee, which has two PE run outlets and a female BSP branch from ½” to 1¼”.
Is the reducing tee suitable for irrigation mains? Yes. Philmac PUSH is used across landscape, turf and agricultural irrigation and is pressure rated up to PN16 on metric PE pressure pipe to AS/NZS 4130.
Can it be reused after disassembly? Yes. Components are not damaged by disassembly; reassemble in sequence and the fitting is ready to use again.
