The Philmac PUSH Metric End Cap closes off the end of a metric PE pipeline with a single tool-free push-fit connection. Cut the pipe square, push it to the internal stop and the line is capped – no tightening, no chamfering, no lubricant.

Because every Philmac PUSH fitting can be disassembled and reassembled without damaging components, the end cap is more than a permanent stop. Cap a run today, then loosen the nut and remove the cap when the line is extended or a new branch is added – and reuse the cap elsewhere.

Available in 20, 25, 32, 40, 50 and 63mm for plumbing, irrigation, rural and civil PE systems, the end cap is moulded in UV-stabilised black polypropylene with acetal grip components and an EPDM seal. It is WaterMark certified, pressure rated up to PN16, approved for drinking-water contact to AS/NZS 4020 and Australian Made.

Application notice

Philmac PUSH fittings are designed for connecting metric pressure polyethylene pipe. They are not suitable for compressed air applications, or for positive displacement pumps where the line pressure drops to zero between cycles. For those applications Philmac recommends Philmac EasyLOK fittings.

FAQs

Can I remove the end cap later to extend the line? Yes. Loosen the nut, remove the cap and connect the extension. Reassemble the cap’s components in sequence and it is ready to reuse.

Does the end cap need any tools? No. Push the square-cut pipe to the internal stop. A standard wrench is only needed if you loosen the nut to disassemble.

Is it pressure rated? Yes – like the rest of the Philmac PUSH range, up to PN16 on metric PE pressure pipe to AS/NZS 4130, for cold water applications.

Can it stay exposed to sunlight? Yes. The UV-stabilised black polypropylene body is suitable for continuous above-ground use without additional protection.

Is it suitable for potable water lines? Yes. Philmac PUSH is WaterMark certified, conforms to AS/NZS 4020 and meets the lead-free requirements of NCC Volume 3.
