The AVG Dual Check Valve Female x Female Lead Free Backflow Prevention Valve is a compact backflow prevention valve designed to stop reverse flow and protect potable water supplies from contamination. The valve contains two spring loaded check valves that remain closed until water flows downstream, automatically shutting if the direction of flow reverses. This design provides reliable protection for low hazard installations such as residential water meter connections, irrigation feeds and general plumbing supply lines. If reverse pressure occurs in the system, both check valves close to prevent contaminated water from entering the drinking water supply.
